How to use this site - registered members     
 

 
 

Only the members of the consortium can become registered users of the Encompas site. In order to become registered users project manager should send an email to the web administrator ("administrator at encompas dot org"). The email should contain the name and email address of the persons to be registered and identify the appropriate work packages where these persons are involved. After the registeration users are able to view and add information to the main Encompas topics. Those envolved for example in specific WPs will also get rights to access and add information related to these WP.

Registered users can create articles and write comments to articles made by others. Please note that you always need to be logged in on the site in order to make your contribution.

To make an article, please press the link ”add content” which opens an entry view. Then give your article a title, make your entry and choose the related topic from the topics list (Events, Partners, Bitacora, Encompas, Instructions). If you want to write an article to one of the WP pages, you will first have to go the WP page of your choice and then press the "add content" link. Remember to also choose the topic related to the WP document.

Save then your article by pressing the button “save”. Please do not forget to make your article available for others by either “publishing” it - visible for all the site visitors or by making it “internal” - visible to the registered users only.

You can make links referring to interesting resources or include images to your article by uploading them to the site.

To comment an existing article you can press the link “Write a comment” appearing in the end of each article. This link opens you an entry view which allows you to insert your comment as text. Please do not forget to press the button “post” in order to save your comment. Do note that if the article is “public” also your comment will be published for all the site visitors or if the article is “internal” your comment will remain visible only for the registered users.

Remember that you can only create new articles or comment existing ones if you are a registered user and have asked the web administrator to give you the needed rights. You can also add new information and comment existing articles in the WP topics ONLY if you are taking part in the specific WP and have informed the web administrator about it. All registered users though can view the material in the WP topics.

The site uses structured text which helps you to design the layout of your article and/or comment. Here are some basic rules:

  • to start a new paragraph: you need to have double enter
  • to create a headlines: when the paragraph starts with a 2 space indent, the previous paragraph consisting of one line is treated as a headline
  • to create bulleted lists: a paragraph that begins with a hyphen (-), asterisk(*), or letter o (o) is treated as a bullet element of a list
  • to bold characters: by enclosing the text by 2 asterisks (**) makes it bold
  • to create links: enclose the text with double quotes (") and add two points(:) after it and write then the URL address
